Music: The Bled
We've just found out about this band, but we're getting well into them.  Alternative, Post-hardcore, whatever genre you wanna label them as, the sound speaks for itself. The albums Pass the Flask and Found in the Flood are awesome.  The guitar work is beautiful and is responsible for the depth of sound on offer.  Combined with the vocals, the end result is powerfully emotive sound that gets right to the heart of you.  Give them a listen and stick with it.

Music: Bullet For My Valentine
We get the feeling that this is a band you'll either love or hate.  We love 'em.  Each song is like a best-of collection of great metal guitar riffs melded together.  Might be a bit too 80's tinged for some, but what the hell, it's good stuff.

Tech: The iPod Nano 4GB
I was a bit late on the whole iPod scene, but my girlfriend decided to get me one for Christmas and it is ace.  Most of you've already got one I'd imagine so you already know that they rock.  The Nano in particular is ridiculously small and light - perfect for workouts. 

Fitness: CrossFit.com
We are huge fans of the work done at CrossFit.  If you only visit one other site today, make it this one.  If your goal is to get fit this year, then start doing the WODs.  If you can't do them as written, then reduce the numbers or substitute the exercises.  But just do them as best you can.  And read the forum posts - there are a lot of amazing people on there.

Style: Tattoos
Tattoos are cool.  You need them in your life.  Big ones.  Don't get a small one.  And get something you really want, that means something to you.  Think about it long and hard and then ask any mates with tats who is a good tattooist (some of them suck - always go by personal recommendation), then get your ass down there and get inked.  You'll feel better for it... honest...

General: Happy New Year!
2005 was personally not the best year for myself and my loved ones - lots of bad news and difficult situations to work through.  Still, we survived it in one piece and we are gonna make damn sure that 2006 is at least 100 times better.  So, if your 2005 was shit, join us in shouting... SCREW YOU 2005 YOU LAME EXCUSE FOR A YEAR, 2006 IS GONNA ROCK!!!!!!!!!!!  If you had a great 2005, then may your good fortune continue.  Either way, Happy New Year Y'all!
